Should be More Expensive

I am very impressed with Invicta style and quality. They offer well-made watches at a very competitive price. I own seven Invicta watches and love each of them. They have the look and feel of a much more expensive watch.

This particular model looks almost identical to a Rolex Submariner. It is an automatic watch (if you don’t wear it for around 24 hours or move around enough, the time must be reset) with 21 jewel Japanese movement and has a see through back that lets you view the automatic movement. The watch has a large 43mm face and it has Mercedes style hands and Tritnite luminescence markings with a magnified date marker. It is water resistant to 200 meters (just in case any of you will go down that far).

The one pictured above has an oyster-like bezel (Omega style). The older (Series 1 or S1) model of the 8926 have a coin edge bezel like the Rolex Submariner. The bezel rotates. Invicta makes really attractive bands that have a nice weight. The stainless steel silver band and black face combination is very sharp and will never go out of style. I have an 8.5″ wrist and the watch accommodates my wrist with room to spare. They come in the trademark yellow Invicta box with an Invicta pillow.

The 9937 is an upgraded model of this watch that offers 25 jewel Swiss movement instead of the Japanese 21 jewel movement, a sapphire crystal, an improved stainless steel band (even though the one on the 8926 is great), solid end pieces, a better magnifier over the date, a flip lock safety clasp and a large rosewood box instead of the yellow box that comes with this 8926.

Great Workhorse Of An Automatic

I can’t say much here that hasn’t already been said. This watch is a steal at $100 and can usually be found for a few bucks cheaper with a little patience and effort. The band is really well-made - much nicer and heftier than typical at this price point. The two most common complaints - the weakness of the glow-in-the-dark material and the paltry date magnifier - are really minor and don’t affect my appreciation of the watch. If your vision is bad enough that you struggle to see the date unmagnified, any magnifier isn’t going to make that much of a difference. And how often do you really look at your watch 8 hours after you’ve shut off the light? The glow on mine definitely lasts for 5-6 hours, which is plenty impressive at this price range. The view of the concededly-undecorated movement is still fascinating and something you can’t really get for this price with most watches. The screw-down crown is solid and easy to work with. The supposedly stiff bezel did loosen a bit with use and wasn’t that tough to turn to begin with.

The only real caveat is that Invicta is notoriously bad at customer service and is only spotty with quality control. The risk is that you’ll get a slightly defective unit - a slightly off bezel, a screwy crown (har-har, no pun intended), or some other minor problem - and end up having to live with it or risk further damage, poor communication, and a loss of $25 and shipping under their “warranty.” I’m reviewing the watch I received, which was flawless and deserves 5 stars. I’ve now bought two other Invictas and both have arrived in perfect condition. I imagine if I had to go through the headaches some of these other reviewers have warned about, I wouldn’t be so gung ho. But if you want a fantastic automatic diver watch at 1/10 the price of most other options, and you don’t mind taking a bit of risk, I wouldn’t hesitate at all to purchase it.

Jeweller Approved

Took watch to a jeweller to shorten links in bracellet. He wanted to talk and showed me his “mini collection” of fake and copies of brand makes. He explained the many virtues and pitfalls, concluding that my Invicta was not only very well made but a bargain at the price I paid.
The watch is heavier than I expected, but maybe that is a good thing. All in all, I’m very pleased with purchase.

Well worth the price

So far I have been very happy with this watch. I ordered for myself for xmas. Looks very sharp and I have received plenty of compliments on it.
Always been a fan of the Rolex Submariner, which this watch resembles.

Mine runs about a minute/week fast. Which comes to about 4 minutes per month. Not sure what the normal accuracy of an automatic is, but that is what I have observed on mine.

For the price, its a steal. I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

Very Nice Watch

Nice, simple watch. If you want a watch that you can do anything with it on, this is it. Automatic movement, water proof, keeps time perfect. Not too flashy not too dull, just a good all around every day watch.

Better Wear It All The Time If You Don’t Want It To Stall

This Invicta absolutely smokes knockoff Rolexes that run in the $300 range. The casing is good and solid and it is an attractive watch that looks much nicer than its pricetag. A couple of things, however: the movement is not particularly robust so even if you wear this thing all around town one night the wind will exhaust itself by about 10:00 the next morning (assuming you do not put it back on). Also, the bracelet is adequate but of course does not begin to measure up to a higher quality brand. Yet I suppose both of these things are totally acceptable for a watch in this price range. Excellent value.

The Go-To Watch!

The Invicta Diver 8926 is a bargin!!! I’ve been a fan of the Rolex Submariner for years, and this watch truely has that “look”. Actually, I’ve had people ask me if it is the Rolex. I really am impressed with the quality. It is much more than I expected for a $100 AUTOMATIC watch and it looks, feels, and (sort-of) acts like a thousand dollar watch, or even almost like a $5000 Rolex Submariner. Ok, the only “con” I find about this watch is that it does run about a minute fast/ per week. It has the MIYOTA automatic mech.; the same that Citizen uses. It’s not as accurate as a Swiss made watch but keep in mind, it is 1:10th the cost. If you dont mind it running slightly fast(and I do mean SLIGHTLY fast) this is the definition of “bang for the buck”. I REALLY like this watch and wear it daily and it really does look and feel like a watch that should cost upwards of $500.

Handmade swiss automatic for under $100?

Invicta makes the highest quality entry-level watches on the market. The steel band is as heavy as any I’ve found and despite my clumsy nature the crystal has remained scratch free for the past two years.

The Japanese automatic movement in this watch is obviously not as precise as swiss counterparts. I charted my watches performance against the US Navy Master Clock for about a month and on average it gains about 7 seconds per day. So I do have to roll the dial back every few weeks, but if I only have to make that one concession in this price range then I consider this a fantastic buy.
